Urgh! Why can't filmmakers leave their old films alone?!

Yeah. I read somewhere he's gonna put a scene in before the destruction of Alderaan with Padmé and Bail Organa.

What an eedjit. I think it would look monstrously out of place. Instead of pissing about with Star Wars he should try and direct something new. Who gives a damn if it flops, it's not as if he can't afford it. I thought the SEs were the "definitive" vision. I'm not impressed. And I bet we get saddled with these new "Ultimate Editions" on the DVD instead of the original editions :(

Well he can't have Padme on Alderaan at that time... she would have been dead 15 odd years by then! [face_mischief]

And no, that's not a spoiler... just remember the scene on Endor between Luke and Leia...

"a film is never completed, just abandoned"

Thats why Gl will never be regarded as a great film maker, just one that made so many mistakes the first time round that 20 years later he hs to tit around with old favourites.

    Also why more music?
I have the double cd soundtrack and there is plenty of music on there.

OH i forgot if they redo some music they can reflog the soundtrack as well.

    basically $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

THE WAY TO STOP THIS KIND OF $HIT IS TO ONLY BUY IT ONCE AND LEAVE IT AT THAT DONT BUY IT MORE THEN ONCE JUST BECAUSE IT IS REPACKAGED FFS

And therein lies the problem. There are millions of mugs like me around the world who WILL buy these things regardless. I fail to see the need to insert the Imperial March into ANH at all - it works perfectly well without it.

Though I do hope they sort out that whole mess at the end of TESB SE - the cutting of the start of RotJ where we see Vader going on to the Death Star. And Luke screaming like the emperor when he jumps down cloud city. Awful awful awful!

Oh, I can name two members of this forum apart from Andy who'll be lining up for both the regular and extended DVDs of LOTR. ;)

I'm just getting the November one, not the normal. I can wait that long if I have to :D

I do hope though that the DVD version of Star Wars will have the original films on it as well as the "ultimate" version.

yeah but Obi wan also said he was trained by Yoda.
And you dont know what happens between EPII and EPIV GL may change it all. Leia could end up with someone who isn't even her mother who dies.

Oh Phill, I was needing to quiz you. Have you got the "Deluxe" Farscape 3.1/3.2 DVD box?

No mate, I ordered the normal one, then went on-line around release time and suddenly there was this "Deluxe" version, which was already sold out. Dammit!!!

EDIT: I must be really easy to please or something, because I think I'm the only one on the boards who liked the Special Edition Star Wars films. In fact, the only bit I didn't like was the extended dance number in the beginning of ROTJ. I really liked the rest of it.

    ?

HMV and Virgin here still have them! If you're desperate for one I can pick it up for you. I had no idea what was in the deluxe boxes so that's why I was asking you

Nah, don't worry about it. The "Deluxe" edition has some cards in it or something like that. Not really worth bothering with to be honest. I buy it cause I really enjoy the show.

Yeah Sam, but then I said that when they first talked about the Special Editions. I'm just going to put my trust in George and hope it all works out.

After all, unlike most people it would seem, I enjoyed the SEs and TPM. Oh well, I must just be strange! :D
