EDIT: Just went and read the winning entries. The first thing that came to my mind was wow. They were exquisite!!!! You guys totally deserved to win. (i've yet to read the other entries so I don't mean to say the others were bad, just that the winning ones were really good)

I have to say that there were many good stories in Before the Saga, so actually I want to say thank you to everyone who entered. I've laughed and cried and laughed some more while judging...and even though it's been a bit hard for me to sit and read right now, just reading stories makes me feel better.

Hey, I'm sure they're going as fast as they can. Reading, scoring and compiling the scores for all those stories would take long enough if you didn't have real life on top of all of it anyway. I certainly wouldn't have time to do it.

An update from me:

I?m about three-quarters of the way through the Saga entries (the longest category). I realise this process is quite lengthy, but as most of you know, there have been some pretty big changes at JC in the administration. That has occupied my focus for the past two weeks. I?m going to try and finish up my judging and commenting on this category by mid-week.
