    There’s a swoop parked on a beach?

    TLTE - We can also see the winglets/clamps half open underneath the Hauler and that device under Nest's Swoop must be the cable launcher.

    The Swoop on the beach is the same as the one on the Toy Box Art (flying alongside Nest);

    Which means that this scene is probably before the Heist (as I'm pretty sure that not all of the Cloud-rider gang escape the explosion).

    TBF, it was not my joke but a reply I got when I asked the same question earlier. Still, recycling is good...

    I do not know if this has been brought up else where, but I am concerned about the nacelles of the Falcon. In Solo they are joined by some sort of cargo pod. This is fine, that is not the problem. The problem is that at the tip of this new (Pre New Hope) design it is very "thin". If you were to remove the cargo pod, then then 2 nacelles will not be wide enough. There does not seem to be enough room with the new model to even have a removable pod and keep the same size and dimensions of the now current (New Hope and there after) nacelles size. The nose of the "new" is too "sharp". The only thing I am guessing is that not only does the middle section gets removed but also a portion of the tip gets removed as well to keep up with the correct dimensions.

    Nice! That is what I was thinking, but did not know the official stuff or what others were thinking.

    Question on that front piece, though, and when it comes off. Someone mentioned in another thread that the Falcon had this early appearance in ROTS, but it looks like the front end was already two separate sections in that shot:

    May be it was a modification of Lando's and Han just restored the bow to it's original configuration?

    Have to say, that square speeder Han rides around in looks terrible. It's as if the Lego toy version design came first.

    Yeah, I think it's something like that. Otherwise they'll need a retcon to say that this freighter in ROTS isn't the Falcon. The other issue they've got there is the age of the ship; this trailer seems to be emphasizing how new and clean the ship is... they're not really suggesting that it could have already been in service for ten years at that point.

    Only here would we argue the canonicity of a "blink and you'll miss it" speck of a shot, of an easter egg, of a "unconfirmed by the film" vessel's front section. Try this. They removed it that day.:) Nerds complicate everything.

    [face_talk_hand] They removed it that day, and then put it back again? Maybe. Maybe it's like driving a convertible with the top down, or up. :p

    It's not the Falcon. It's actually the Centennial Peacock.

    IIRC it is George Lucas that said specifically that that is the Falcon in the DVD commentary. The day that something that Lucas stated is retconed to not be the case, is the day I give up on canon Star Wars media.

    Lucas also stated in no uncertain terms that Yoda shouldn’t use a lightsaber while breaking the story for RotJ with Kasdan. Twenty years later, Yoda was using a lightsaber. Even Lucas disagreed with Lucas.

    There is a difference in having done something , and having not done something and saying that you won't do it and later doing that thing. The first is retconing something. The second is retconing nothing.

    Anyway I think I would accept a Lucas retcon Lucas. I wouldn't accept a Disney retcon Lucas.

    Did that last sentence make sense? Lol.

    This stuff happens. Bail's ship in ROTS was originally the Tantive IV then it wasn't. It doesn't affect the film at all.
