I scrolled down immediately to number one, saw Oprah, and then was discouraged from reading.

Who even put Macaulay Culkin on that list and not Vader?

And what is George Clooney doing at # 33?

Why should we care about what VH1 thinks? They're the same morons that give convicted murderers the chance to play in their own rock bands

I fail to understand how Oprah could be considered to have had more of an influence on pop culture than Elvis or Marilyn Monroe. I thought the measure of a person's influence on popular culture was how long their reputation has endured, good or bad. Oprah hasn't been around in the mass consciousness for more than 17 years. And who is to say she will even be around in another 10 years, unless she's doing some infomercial?

I remember when she was around here in Baltimore doing the "Dialing For Dollars" thing, for God's sake. That certainly shouldn't count as part of her influence. (Although knowing how this list was put together, it might...).

    What an odd list.
Star Wars is only one of several glaring omissions.

Tom Cruise more influential than Kurt Cobain? JFK Jr. ranks above his father? I don't know what these guys were smoking, but I think they need a refund.

This is a list that has Oprah Winfrey at number 1, superman at number 2, Tom Cruise at number 5 and Madonna at number 7.

Compare these with Bob Dylan at number 68 and Led Zeppelin at number 132 and then try and explain how this list has any value at all.
