Hello everyone. I have just recently purchased an xt3 and am loving it. I am struggling however with time-lapse. I believe I need video editing software to put all the photos together. Are there any recommendations as to what software I should use? Is there any free software that would help me accomplish this?
Hi, and welcome to the forums! I believe HitFilm is still free, and should work pretty well as an editing software for beginners. I don't know if it's suitable for time lapses, but I would guess that it should work. If you want something more advanced, DaVinci Resolve is free to use, and is extraordinarily powerful, but it's not the easiest software to learn; especially if you have don't have much experience with video editing.
Hey there! Congrats on your new XT3! For creating time-lapse videos, you'll definitely need video editing software that can handle stitching together your photos. There are some great free options out there that could be perfect for your needs. I recently came across an article discussing the Best Free Video Editing Software for Mac in 2024, and it highlighted several options that could be ideal for your time-lapse projects. Software like iMovie and DaVinci Resolve were recommended for their user-friendly interfaces and robust features, including the ability to handle time-lapse sequences smoothly. These tools can help you edit your photos into a cohesive video with ease.
