    Agreed. Lego messed that up. Though I think the laugh from LEGO Luke makes it clear he let him think he was defeated.

    What happened was so mystical and magical and transcendental of time and space that I guess it was hard for them to describe better for little kids.

    "The bearded old man tricked the moody bad guy into thinking for a minute that he won" would have worked just fine for kids, and would have been much more accurate.
