    Waffle House. It’s the dodgy atmosphere at Waffle House that makes it better.

    And! They do pecan waffles!

    When one toasts Eggo at home, it does not include a complimentary side of grease on the window for those who need more. Much less value.

    If you get drunk and in a fight at 3am in the Waffle House parking lot, that's just part of life.

    If you get drunk and in a fight at 3am with a box of Eggo, then THAT is a problem.

    The local Waffle House here still has the linger scent of full ashtrays and anger. The old timers still rage that they cannot smoke inside the “restaurant”.

    I think it was probably one of the original dine in places in my town, and it hasn’t been updated.

    Eggo. They have blueberry, original, chocolate chip. They also have Grab and Go which can be heated or not and are covered with this delectable pearl sugar. :D They're officially called Liege (if I'm spelling that right).

    Eggo for convenience, obviously. But if I get a choice of which one you're gonna put in front of me right now, Waffle House for sure.

    (Also, why are you making me choose? I'm a growing 43-year-old boy and I'm hungry!)

    I've had Waffle House once and it was ***.

    I can whip up scratch waffles almost as fast as the eggo toast...certainly in the time it takes to make the 15 or so Eggos it takes to make a satisfying meal.

    But. barring that option, Eggos in a pinch.

    @Jedimarine do you ever add anything to your waffles? My Waffle House is a bit old and nasty, but their pecan waffle is so good.

    I would say seldom.
    Little butter, little syrup.
    Been known to do a bit of jam on occasion if it is out. I had fresh peaches on top once and it was quite good.

    Usually if I am after waffles, it is for the waffles...I'm a carb junky.

    But I will say, I've been to a few dinning establishments offering Fried Chicken and Waffles...which can be truly epic!
    But alas, I do not pan/deep fry at home if I can help it.

    I have actually never been to a Waffle House, so it's Eggos or homemade for me.
