    It's very easy to tell the difference actually. Americans pronounce many words differently, for starters. Schedule is "sked-u-ale" in Canada and "shhed-u-ale" in the USA. Roof is "roof" in Canada and "ruff" in the USA.

    That's not technically true, Chris. It depends on where you're from in the states. It's the same deal in Canada. It's more than just north and south, it varies by cities and locations. I say schedule and roof the same way you said Canadians say it. There are many things I say differently, though, as far as vowel sounds go. But you are right...it is definitely easier to tell the difference between a southernor and canadian than a yankee and canadian. :)
