ST Warwick Davis in VIII

BOOOOO, I looked everywhere and found nowhere did this fine chap have his own thread, he did have one for TFA. After pictures of him being in Croatia were online and when asked if he was in VIII, he refused to answer but now months later he finally confirms it!!!

So roles in Episode I, VI, VII, and now VIII.

who will Warwick play?
Wicket, Weazel, Wollivan, or a new character???

 

I'd like to see him as a human officer of the Resistance. He's played so many roles where he's totally unrecognizable, it'd be nice to see him as himself in a more substantial part.

 

Weazel, was actually human and recognizable, while his other Episode I roles were not nor was VI and VII.

Yeah, but he was only onscreen about 20 seconds. His grandson should be an officer of the Resistance and maybe even have a few lines!

 

There could have been an Ewok X-wing pilot. That would have been funny and cool at the same time.

 

or they show us that Luke's entire Order that Kylo destroyed were all bunch of Ewok Padawans.

it's why Kylo became evil, couldn't stand being stuck with a bunch of teddy bears that don't speak basic.

also Luke fell in love with a female Ewok...

Well Naka ended up being a Blarina which was the same species as Wollivan aka the one character we know Warwick played at Maz's castle. So right now I'd guess Naka (if filmed for TFA) was played by Warwick too. That would include Naka finding the lightsaber on the savanna and I believe nearly lighting his hut on fire with it before trading it. It's possible with the path of the lightsaber cut, they wanted to change a few things around and maybe Warwick will play Naka in a Force vision that Rey has in Episode 8 and or film something with Maz.

 

Davis is also appearing in Rogue One, as well.

Of course you have Warwick in 8. He is compulsory.
And he's good publicity for the movies. As shown above, he does a good interview, and he's a fine presenter.

 

Old Wicket would be awesome.

 

I think given that he supposedly was in Croatia makes me think he'll be some random alien or human in the Casino planet. So Wicket is less likely, although showing Kylo taking Vader's remains could be interesting.

 

not supposedly, he was there. Saw him coming down the road from the beach scene (boat/speeder landing) filming location. Doesn't mean he was part of that scene, but I guess he had the hotel there. At least he was 100% in Dubrovnik for whatever role.

yep I saw him in person, but was too shy to speak to him. as always.

 

why were you too shy? Warwick always seem to like fan interactions.

but you know I was a secret spy more or less, so didn't want attention, additionally to being very shy in general.

 

Warwick is also the agent for all the dwarf and little people actors, so he could've been there in a professional capacity.

 

I like the idea of Wicket showing up again. Maybe he's in another sector of the Resistance, hanging out with Lando and Wedge.

 

Of course Warwick was in Dubrovnik....
