    Well there went any hope I had that shiny new equipment would hold up...neighbor said power went out at noon and they back on generators now. Ugh

    shear and dry air are chipping away at the eye wall, and it is undoubtedly weakening. with it being so close, it may not make a huge difference, but hope it brings the wind speeds down.

    Town is flooding. So much debris still to be picked up and many people with no choice but to have put it in/along the ditches the water is dammed up. I was almost in trouble when that last cold front moved through... my ditch is clogged like crazy with pine and oak trunks from 2 yards. Never flooded before but I had clear drainage... I hope I shoveled enough out the way on the deep end. Oh my.

    A foot of rain and 95 mph wind in Lake Charles... man I hope our tarps held up though I know 2 spots were still leaking when that cold front hit.

    I ll say it again I’m so not looking forward to seeing the aftermath. Ugh

    @JEDI-SOLO, it looks like delta broke east at landfall, which hopefully spared lake charles the worst of it. really unfair what you all have had to go through, hoping for the best for you and your family.

    Still got almost 100mph wind there and places are underwater that never flooded before thanks to the debris already there from Laura. Ugh

    But I heard from neighbor and the house is still standing with some tarps still up. The restoration crew had just demoed our walls and were set to come back the next day to hook up the dehumidifier fans only to never show up as they all had to leave for Delta so I’m hoping this means we are at the very top of list for them to come back. We are gonna have a soaked house right now. Going back tomorrow or Monday to see.

    Going home in morning with zero clue what I’m going back to besides a standing house and flapping tarps which is on the side and above the room packed with half our remaining belongings stuffed in it. If it leaked in that soaker it’s gonna be a major blow. I’m so damn nervous to discover what waits in there.

    It’s a mess. That wind zipped through here. Debris everywhere. More shingles ripped off. Notice a bit more damage in house.

    RV parked in yard AGAIN. Let’s hope for good this time. Only problem is I still got to sleep next door for another 2 nights as my sister and her mom are staying this weekend, so space is limited and me and old man are kicked out. Grrr
