    Still 60 mph TS moving at 39 mph. I gotta admit I’m thinking it ll make it to Atlantic still a TS. It’s been awhile since we have seen one move this fast.

    nhc's forecast was for it to remain a TS the whole way through to the atlantic - doesn't really have time to weaken.

    iota is up to a cat 5, as of this morning's update. central america, nicaragua in particular, is still dealing with the effects of eta from two weeks back.

    going to be an awful few days for the people from that region, keep them in your thoughts. also vote for people who are chomping at the bit to take action on climate change.

    tropical cyclone gati made landfall in somalia yesterday, with sustained winds of 105 kph - first recorded instance of a storm of hurricane strength hitting the country, and will drop what amounts to 2 years' worth of their average rainfall in the next 48 hours.

    May we receive less than a foot of snow from Winter storm Gail (and no Gale Force winds). My disdain for Nor'Easters is rather epic.

    I'll probably do some shoveling so the folks downstairs can stay safe going outside and we can get the garbage out Thursday morning (if they are picking up).

    I hope this storm spares everyone from a whole lot of argh.

    @JEDI-SOLO glad to hear things are progressing on the house. Hope you are well.

    Me either, but I am determined to make it fun and try not to stress.

    I don't know if we have salt or not (the Landlord has been lax with this since pothead moved into the basement apartment). Guess I should check.
