Our local tiny town Christmas parade happened this morning. In the rain, which isn't nearly as Christmassy as snow.

 

Youngest one has not seen Elf yet so we are watching it tonight as part of "family movie night" complete with pizza and popcorn. When we get to "Home Alone" in a few weeks (which they all seen and love), I so wish we could put the pizza in a "Little Nero's" box. They actually sell a "Little Nero's" jacket on Etsy but it's $70! Okay, I absolutely love that movie (one of my favorites actually) and it be hilarious to knock on the door wearing that with pizza in hand but I don't love it that much! LOL!!

 

My 4 year old saw some gifts that were meant for the 1 year old delivered in the mail and demanded them for himself. These are very much baby toys. Had a huge fit. He loves his little brother, but when it comes to toys he gets very possessive and jealous of anything the 1 year old is playing with.

Anyways, I also got the 1 year old a bunch of 1997 SW 12" toys. The ones with real clothes. I got Vader, Obi-wan, Luke, and Han so far. He's not ready for them yet. But in a few years i'll be ready to introduce them to him. The 4 year old just got a bunch of superhero ones that he's in love with.

In movie news: I just watched A Christmas Carol. The one with Guy Pearce and Andy Serkis. I know it got bad to mixed reviews but I love this adaption. It's really dark and creepy, and the sets and costumes are just beautiful. Probably not for kids though.

Tonight a different video: One I made a week ago.

I made this for friends and family to have a laugh...and cringe at. So here ya go.

 

@DarkGingerJedi Sounds like the boys when they be playing with their little baby sister toys even though they were way too old for it LOL!

I will say that I definitely suggest enjoying the stage where they love playing with toys since it doesn't last very long, at least with our kids it hasn't. The boys haven't played with action figures in years while only of them still likes Legos. The other will play with them a bit but he is a full grown jock so unless he is playing sports, he mainly wants to be watching them either on TV, highlights on YouTube or playing sports video games.

Meanwhile our daughter is already going thru her Barbies and PJ Mask toys that she wishes for us to take it to the consignment store or donate. She still has some including the Barbie Dream House that we luckily got used for next to nothing (that looks basically brand new) but we notice she plays with it less and less. Just be a matter of time before she gives them more for good. I will say we got our money's with them like we did with the boys Legos since they with them a lot during the heights of the pandemic. But for whatever reason, ever since we began moving closer to "normalcy" they just stopped playing with toys as much.

So whatever time they spend playing with action toys savior them since in my experience it doesn't last very long.

And that is a good choice for a movie.
