    christmaaaaaas

    last year i worked literally all christmas, even double shifts some days. this year ive decided to take no extra shifts during christmas and just spend all my time eating and drinking and just being cooozy. its gonna be aaaawesoooome. still gotta work my own shifts tho but still. wooo

    I actually volunteered to work on Christmas Day last year because I had nothing else to do and I figured "well if they're going to drag one of us out here to work today, it might as well be me". Then it turns out it was entirely optional and they were just going to not open the store if there weren't enough volunteers, and then I was like "forget it".

    Yeah, no. Screaming kids, awful ****ing music everywhere, all the stress (and economic strain) that comes with having to buy gifts for people, having to put up with extended family you don't like, etc. etc. etc. It's literally the least relaxing part of the year for many, many people.
