Edmonton West Edmonton Mall Walk (March 24)

The 501st is doing a charity and mall walk at WEM on March 24. Roughly starting at 11am to 3pm. It's to promote the Toy Show and also help out The Kids with Cancer Scociety. We will be encouraging people to make donations to the cause by getting pictures taken and handing out posters.

The change room hasn't been finalized. It's either gonna be under the stage by HMV or at the WEM office. Will advise as soon as I hear word.

Last year both Edmonton and Calgary FF joined the 501st for the walk and was alot of fun. We've been invited to come along with the 501st for the walk and charity. I would think that meeting up in the change room around 10-10:30 am would be fine. Anyone interested in coming out to this event?

Just so everyone knows.....Dave has been appointed as the official liasion between you guys and the 501st! So any event that we are hoping you will join us at, Dave will provide you with all the information. He can also answer any questions for you etc.

 

I talking with Shane Turgeon yesterday and I am going to be picking up Toy Show Flyers from him to hand out at the Mall that day.

 

Looks like the change room for now is under the stage near HMV. You can probably squeeze
10-15 people in there. If you can come in your costume that will be great If not there is 1 bathroom down there.

 

If my mom drives me, I can come in costume.

I'm not gonna be able to attend the mall walk in a Star Wars costume as I'll be there for another costumed event, but I will stop by to say hi.

The short time that I spent in my Leia at the mall was a blast. Loved that ewok dog, so fluffy!

 

I thought I'd let you guys know that we raised $1476.75 for the Kids with cancer society. They also got into the paper so more people are more aware of their cause. Good job guys
