Lit What’s something you remember from the EU that recently got invented in the real world or is close?

Yeah I know that nobody invented a Sun Crusher or bacta recently but this question is more aimed at older fans (I am 29). What’s something you remember from the EU that was invented in 2018ish-now or will be available in 2024ish? It can literally be the most obscure, inane invention or concept; it just had to not exist when the book came out but is (basically) available now or very soon

 

Commlinks seem to be like cell phones (though the first cell phones had also just recently come out around the time TPM was being made).

 

In the Young Han Solo Legends Novels Han uses a Flight Simulator and i think he uses it as a Virtual Helmet similar like the VR
