Jacen, Jaina, and Lowbacca building their lightsabers in Lightsabers. Tenel Ka welding together her dual identities to create her lightsaber at the end of the book. Hell, the entirety of Lightsabers and most-all of the YJK.

I'd also have to say one of the coolest moments of legends is when Krayt reveals his identity and backstory to cade.

"Don't be surprised, the Sith were born and reborn from the Jedi."

 

Yes. An absolutely superb homage to "No, I am your father" without it feeling like a direct copy.

KotOR is a masterclass in how you do a pastiche of the episodic SW saga right.

I still love that the Star Forge is the Death Star in reverse. Right down to the name.

 

Revealing to the player that they're the big bad with amnesia is a twist
that I've never seen anywhere else.

In another thread somewhere, someone asked why Vandar Tokare doesn't speak like Yoda, to which I said, "Homage without destroying the uniqueness of the original."

 

I mean, TBH, for all my earlier praise Vandar wasn't a great addition.

Never read that one as it was one of a few books that came out right as the EU was being Legends-ised, so I never bothered with, along with Into the Void and Kenobi.

 

Not an actual moment per se-but the collapse of the Rakatan infinite empire, I'd argue they were on average worse than the galactic empire in how they treated their subjects-their cruelty, savagery, and ruthlessness was quite terrible.

Their collapse was justice 10,000 years in coming.

 

It's not everyone's favorite, but it's actually one of my favorites. It's just so brutal and weird.

- I don't remember every moment very well, but the first encounter with Yuuzhan Vong ships was pretty wild. The sense of desperation as the galactic military tried to come up with adaptations to fight weapons and abilities that were so foreign and poorly understood sticks with me.

- Ulic Qel-Droma's redemption was quite well done

Geez, I would love for Star Wars to go back to the TotJ/KotOR era. So much of it could be reclaimed into the current canon with very little changed, there are allusions to the events here and there as stories continue to come out. But TotJ was some of my earliest introduction to Star Wars, so I'm pretty attached and I'd be afraid they'd screw it up.

. . . I just wish there was a way for me to re-experience playing KotOR for the first time. But that's impossible.

For me it is one of the most memorable duels of the old EU

 

Another moment of TFU would have to be the duels with Palpatine and Vader-the score, the tone, the brutal intense action, I think the line "Lord Vader, deal with the boy" has to be one of the most memorable lines of the EU for me anyway.

Just the way Sam Witwer pronounces the line-the oozing contempt and cackling voice. Love it.
