TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE

Seriously, the new Indy flick looks awful.

 

Even if it has Lucas ruinage in it there will have to be some great Spielberg creations and some great Ford deliveries. It will be sad if it can't be better than Temple of Doom (which was still loads of fun).

The trailer sure didn't show anything worthwhile at all. All it did was play the nostalgia card over and over and over. The same thing was done with the TPM trailers. I doubt even Speilberg can save it.

It should also be noted that I've never been able to stay awake through an Indy flick. There is aways a point where the flick screeches to a halt.

 

My inner geek is at "cautiously optimistic" at this point re: Indy 4.

Honestly though, the review I am dying to read is from Bosh. There's not a bigger Indy fan on the planet; seriously. You folks may not know it cause he's Mr. Star Wars to you...but the dude's a supergeek for Indy too.

 

Apparently miracles do happen! A 1.7% chance and you get it? They better not frak this up! I'm sick of Chicago sports coming so close then crapping out or doing something stupidly insane. (and yes I remember 2005...stop rubbing it in my face)

 

Has anyone here received their economic stimulus package yet? According to my last 2 digits of my SS number, I should've gotten it 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping for it before I leave on the honeymoon.

 

My girlfriend got a letter stating that since she had her online filing fees taken out of her refund she would be getting a manual check instead of the direct deposit she should have. I figured I was in the same boat. We both used TurboTax, filed online, and had the fee pulled out of the refund.

Apparently the IRS was supposed to tell people that, but forgot because they were "up all night jacked up on Dew and Ho-Ho's and [they're], like, completely wasted this morning. Sorry, dude."

 

Oh yeah...well, we got $936.00 instead of the nationally hyped $1,200 per couple. Anything they can do to screw the working person....of course in my case I don't work.
