What are some of your obsessions that you do a "deep dive" into every year, few years? A few of mine are the Beatles, the Beach Boys album Pet Sounds, the movie Titanic, the television show House, the Super Bowl, the NBA playoffs, and, most weirdly, the mother of all scandals, the Jerry Sandusky Penn State scandal.

The fact that I have a ten year old account on a Star Wars forum, and I'm still active on it, should be a dead giveaway.

Um, I think having close to 100 Star Trek books would qualify as a perennial obsession.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, Daredevil (comics and Netflix series), the Matrix trilogy, Donnie Darko, the Uncharted games.

And then there is my inner literature nerd, who is always reading and/or thinking too hard about: Victor Hugo, Tolstoy, C. S. Lewis, Thomas Merton, Proust.

Finally: Quantum physics and the Enneagram. Two of my favorite bottomless rabbit holes.

Besides listening to Hanson music? Sometimes I literally listen to Hanson on my way to they gym, at the gym, on my ride to work, some of my ride home from work (before my favorite sports show comes on the radio) and again when I fold laundry or make dinner in the evening. I have listened to Hanson for 22 years, I doubt I've gone a week without hearing one of their songs. I rarely go a day without listening to several of their songs.

    • I also like a show called the Young Riders, I've watched the entire run of the Soprano's more than once also Will and Grace.
    • I have read and watched every episode/book in Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove Series (even the bad series which featured Eric McCormack from Will and Grace)
    • Okay I have thing for Western's, my youngest son, his name is Wyatt
    • Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, the NBA in general.
    • I watch the movie Crooklyn a couple times a year and Saint Elmo's Fire.
    • When I'm not injured (like now :) ) I run. I love to run.
    • I swim, I don't like swimming, but I've been doing it since I was 6. It's like eating vegetables, I swim cause it's good for me.

Depending on the genre of book I'm reading I go flip through West End games D6 Star Wars RPG material, or Forgotten Realms Campaign 3rd edition.
