Haha.. I hope he won something for that.

To be honest, I'm not a Shadow Trooper fan. I had the opportunity to buy some of them as figures but I just don't like them. Go with the Imperial Knight :D

I'm deffinatly warming to the Imperial Knight (I an a knight after all) as they get to carry lightsabers =D=

but I was kind of hoping for something that was in the films - I don't remember seeing any of the knights in any of them - are they just from the EU?

Imperial Knights - afraid they are currently from one source only at the mo Paddy - a comic series that has just started called Star Wars Legacy - [link=http://www.darkhorse.com/search/search.php?frompage=userINPUT&sstring=Star+Wars+Legacy&match=all&scope=products&type=all&startmonth=all&startyear=all&endmonth=all&endyear=all&genre=all]link clicky[/link]

They very very new, the comic series has only been in the public hands for three months, part #2 as out this week.

I'll go through some books when I get chance, see if I can see some film stuff other than what is above - you want black armour right?

    Thanks Tim - much apreciated.

Actually the colour isn't really that relevant (yes black is nice) as I'm just looking for something different from the standard TK white!

Nice. One thing though, you might have to make it just a little bit bigger than it is in the picture, [face_laugh]

I'm still not sure the green is cannon though... might have to do some more research :)

Seems a bit green-cross code-ish :p Though that was Prowse so there's a tenuous link.

Oh gods I haven't heard the phrase 'Green Cross Code' for years... I feel old now [face_blush]

    Anyway Paddy: [link=http://web.ukonline.co.uk/bingo275/marapril05/Clonepecialist2.jpg]CLICKY[/link]

Seems the green guys are specialist Clonetroopers (I saw some mention of being Coruscant Landing Troopers or something but I might be getting it mixed up with General Gree (who is grey and green)) :)

Although [link=http://web.ukonline.co.uk/bingo275/DecJanFeb06/Commander%20Gree.jpg]Commander Gree[/link] does look kinda cool!!

Just found this: Color coding on the helmet and shoulder pauldrens denoted the rank of a Clonetrooper; with green denoting Sergeants, blue representing Lieutenants, red for Captains and yellow being Commanders.

A friend of mine once had a problem with her computer and all the Stormtroopers in her Jedi Acadamy game ended up pink.

    It'd be original.

The green trooper figure is a custom. And I'm sure that image of the trooper running is not either as it's actually a picture of one of the Vader Leigon clones (which are blue) that go with Vader to stomp the Jedi Temple in ROTS.

Your colour codes are for the first AOTC wave armour released and would apply to the Troopers and Commanders seen in the Clone Wars cartoon. Colours didn't often matter later on in the Wars as we see by Cody and his unit wearing Orange. The troopers often just did it to signify what regiment they were in.

These are the ones where the list applies

So really you can do whatever pattern you like on Phase II armour

If you want REALLY cool Clone armour (which I wasn't going to tip you off on because I may myself do one of these) I suggest checking out the Shock Troopers from Episode III or Commander Bacara. They're both featured in the flicks so very cool indeed

Nice - thanks for that Hunky,

It's looking more and more like I'll go for the "Commander Gree" style armour!

I fully intend to post a bit by bit construction guide and I'm open to any suggestions as to what I should do to cut corners without ruining the overall finished product, I'm really hoping to make it film spec but it's a self build so may be a tad messy [face_blush]

Patrick, if you're really interested in Clone Armour, I'd recommend dropping by KOTE, http://www.501st.co.uk

They are all making clone armour at the moment, they're a real friendly bunch and they'll be able to point you in the right direction in terms of material etc, etc.
