I agree that none of us (the devoted fans of SW) want AOTC to do bad and yes everyone has a right to like or dislike the title. I don't agree though that non-JC members won't hear the negative reaction there has been from JC members. Any person can log onto the SW website or The Force.net and review the negative feedback, plus I'm sure, as I have been guilty of in the past, that there are JC members who talk candidly about the SW goings-on to non-members. I'm just expressing my worries that negative comments can, will, and have had detrimental effects on movies in the past. SW is not exempt. I'm not trying to tell anyone to not voice an opinion I just expect a more open mind from my fellow JC compatriots.

 

For those of you who have taken a vacation from the real world, anti-cloning hysteria is on the rise. This is Star Wars, and thus will have a significant cultural impact. That stupid title won't help matters.

 

I think the title should have been more vague, I mean, listen to the others, they don't really tell you that much. But this one pretty much tells you exactly what's going to happen.

 

Uh, what about The Empire Strikes Back? Which I have to admit must have sounded cheesy at first, but I still don't like AotC.

 

And what's with "Star Destroyer" and why do they name a crappy-looking ship a "corvette"?



I just think that this title sounds more cheesy than the other ones.

 

I believe I saw "Attack of the Clones" on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 once...

That about sums up my opinions on the title.

 

If GL wants it to be Attack Of The Clones then Attack Of The Clones it is. I don't mind it, and so should it be with you....

 

Wait till the movie comes out to judge it.

Made me think of that parodic horror movie, 'Attack of the Giant Mousaka'.

Hope they'll change it... *plans to kill Lucas in 2005 if he screws up the ep-3 title too*

And after such a great title as "The Phantom Menace"

I think us fans must have offended Lucas somehow and he decided to get even with us by thinking up the absolute worst title he could.

 

Hmm... ye-e-e-es, maybe. The way that sounds right now is probably the way "The Empire Strikes Back" would have sounded before its release. We'll get used to it.

Lucas went completely bonkers when he picked out that title. I mean, Attack of the Clones?? That sounds so lame.

 

Lucas took leave of his senses and didn't get them back until RotS.

 

It was and still is a great title.
