As far as the acctual movies, it is about the fall and redemption through love of Anikin Skywalker. If you count the EU, it is the entire history of a GFFA.

 

Escapism.

 

Its starts with and ends with Anakin, Star wars as a whole may be just about that galaxy but the star wars as we know it is about Anakin.

I think it`s a morality story of two generations

Now that it's all finished, I think it's obvious that it's Anakin's story.
