Full Series What Does Your Clone Wars Head Cannon look like?

So with the rebranding of the EU, and the stipulation that not all of it took place, if any of it did, I've recently begun reorganizing my extensive knowledge of events into my idealized version of the Clone Wars to include the only thing that is for certain part of cannon, TCWs series. However the glaring problem with this is that TCWs sort of jumps into the middle of EU events. For instance it immediately presents and already established relationship between Ventress, Kenobi, and Anakin, and it introduces a never before seen right hand man to Anikan, Rex. I've started this thread to post my own head cannon solutions to these problems, which I will explain, and compare them to what everyone else seems to tend to do to address these issues. So from here on is a timeline of events as I see them happening in my idealized, non-contradictory, head cannon.

Month 0-6: Tartovsky Clone Wars [Through the Battle of Hypori]: This is the first piece of my timeline because it introduces all the main characters pertinent to TCWs. It introduces Ventress, Grevious, and in my head cannon it introduces Rex as one of the ARC troopers that accompanies Fordo to destroy the artillery cannon [in fact he's the one we have slapped up in the banner.]

Imaginary Anikan meets Rex arc/ Battle of Tibrin: This is basically a short head story I've created to explain why Rex and Anikan have such a camaraderie throughout TCWs. Essentially Anikan accompanies Fordo's ARCs on a mission to do... well something, I haven't thought that much out yet. Anikan establishes a relationship with Fordo and Rex in particular, similar to how he bonded with Alpha in the Republic comics.

Month 6: Tartovsky Clone Wars [Anikan is Knighted]

Imaginary Palpatine in Trouble episode: Basically Palpatine almost gets assassinated by some BX-Droid commandos, but is saved by Anikan, Fordo, and Rex, whom are all on Coruscant because Anikan is being given the 501st, and he wanted the two of them in his command staff, however Fordo is wounded, but Palps is all like "The Coruscanti Home guard could use an experienced clone commander," and thus Fordo is given the position we see him in later in the Tartovsky Clone wars, while Rex goes on to be the Captain of the 501st.

Imaginary Obi-Wan Captured Arc: Basically follows the Prisoners of Rendilli arc from Republic, except Alpha is replaced by Cody, and instead of Obi-Wan and Cody freeing themselves, Anikan and Rex show up to save them. Lots of things happen in the arc, Obi-Wan and Ventresses' flirtation is established, Cody get's his scar from torture, Rex and Cody's Clone BF status is established, and this is also the arc where Anikan gets his scar from Ventress.

TCW's television show takes over from here [including the un-aired seasons], until the end of the war when I conclude everything with the last part of the Tartovsky Clone Wars, which includes the Battle of Coruscant, and that Battle where Obi-Wan and Anikan save the mutated dog people from the Techno Union guys.

So, thoughts? Interested to hear other peoples opinion on not only my version, but would like to hear you guy's versions as well.

 

Everything from The Clone Wars Multimedia Project is canon to me.

Everything from TCW is Legends to me.

 

I just go with TCW for the Clone Wars.

 

Pretty much everything from the old Clone Wars EU remains canon to me, though TCW wins out in most canon clashes. The only real areas of contest being (spoiler tagged for Dark Disciple):

Spoiler

- Ventress. I enjoyed how TCW made her an anti-hero and incorporated a large part of her original backstory, but no chance in Corellian hell does Dark Disciple happen to her.
- Likewise, Quinlan Vos's touch with the Dark Side is something I prefer in the old EU. The comics did a better job of portraying the depth and uncertainty around his fall.

Other points of note:

- K'kruhk is life. K'kruhk is everything.
- I like the idea of Depa Billaba recovering from the events of Shatterpoint, but not in the Monty Python-esque "I got better" manner of the Kanan comics. Wasted opportunity to explore how someone deals with that sort of trauma.
- My headcanon memory seems to get a little misty when it comes to remembering Dooku Captured/The Gungan General...

 

I don't follow anything as presented yet in any media. CW has never been of interest to me.

The original Clone Wars project. With appearances from Ashoka as a fellow Jedi Knight, Hondo and Savage Oppress. And some of the TCW arcs. No Fugitive arc, no Maul returns, no Anakin and Obi-Wan meeting Grievous and Dooku a thousand times each etc.

Disney canon is my headcanon

 

My head canon is that the war somehow takes up five years instead of three. All of the Clone Wars comics, both Clone Wars animated series (with TCW taking dominance over everything else) and the tie in comics to those, the novels, the Republic Commando game (not the Karen Traviss novels, read those, boring as crud)

It's a big cluster**** I admit, but I tried to outlay it in a timeline once, drove myself a little mad trying to do it.

 

Unless of course, you meant head canon. One N. That would be a completely different story.

I think of TCW more in arcs, not in individual episodes. Still not sure about what happens between DD and ROTS. Gonna have to wait for the remaining TCW arcs to come out until I know for sure what I will make my personal canon.

 

My head Canon is the clone wars series then DR then DD.

 

I listen to this song whenever I read/play/watch my books, comics, video games, and micro-series from my beloved Clone Wars Multimedia Project.



Mostly because I saw all of it was massacred by TCW. I view the project as a tragedy. Hence the song.

 

My head canon consists of the TCW movie, show and Legacy content as well as the Dark Horse tie-in comics sans Shipyards of Doom and Slaves of the Republic for obvious reasons. I also regard the original CW microseries as quasi-canon except for that one ridiculous scene where Grievous takes on six Jedi at once.

 

TCW to me is the equivalent of World War Two movies. Some of the episodes are like "The Longest Day," retelling a story that really happened as best they know how. And some of them are like "Captain America: The First Avenger," complete fantasy that just happens to have the war as a background setting.

The old EU novels and comics, on the other hand, all really happened.

(Never saw the old Clone Wars show or played the video games, so that I don't really care about).

 

I've sorta just given up on trying to make sense of Star Wars continuity...so in my head I just shove most of it into non-canon. There's stuff I'll watch/read and probably enjoy, but which I just don't take all that seriously.
