It's the best thing Zimmer's done since The Dark Knight. Easily.

oh zimmer did the score? definitely going to see this then - the bassfarts, along with the inevitable smells, will be sublime.

He did the BVS score which introduced the WW theme. But he's not scoring the WW film (Rupert Gregson-Williams is), but it presumably will use the same theme given its reception among fans (it's easily the most memorable DC theme since TDK) and its use in the trailer.

That said, when Zimmer moves beyond his comfort zone (which, let's be honest here, is a pretty badass comfort zone) he does create some wonderful scores that sound very different than you might think- tracks from POTC At Worlds End come to mind.

This one (jump to about 1:37) is a good example:

He's also given us the best rendition of the William-Tell Overture ever as well:

    That's pure ear porn.

i only care about the bassfarts though. inception was sublime in that regard. too bad the movie itself couldn't match it.

If this movie becomes a hit(even if just box office success), I wish it could boost up the confidence of superheroine solo movies, if it fails, I also hope it won't hurt the confidence.

If there is one heroine who could carry her solo it could only be Wonder Woman, if even she fails to do so, then all hope is lost, at least it would be a big blow.

There's also The Might of Rome, from the Gladiator soundtrack, when, as he said in the score, he "put his Leni Riefenstahl hat on" and went all gloriously bombastic. See from about 3:00 onwards:

50% of the world's population relies on one comic book character to be taken seriously?

Well, if they don't want to pay to watch, then it surely would be a big blow. Even Marvel hadn't given us ONE superheroine solo movie yet, not even one.

Superheroine Solo sounds like a death metal band.

I really think it's NOT necessary to use a female director, a lot of the good female lead movies were handled by male directors.

I just prefer to ignore the gender and look at their work's quality.

If you prefer to ignore the gender, then why does it matter that Patty Jenkins is the director?

The first one, Michelle MacLaren got some big difference with the production and left. I don't know why did they pick her, she was mostly a TV series director, not a movie one and she never touched blockbuster movies. Patty Jenkins has the similar issue, she never directed any successful blockbuster action movies before, the only remarkable one was Charlize Theron's Monster, which is a lot different than the Wonder Woman movie and besides Theron's great acting and sacrifice, it was good but not that awesome. So I wonder why were these two directors picked, is it because of their gender? Tons of other directors got better experience on action blockbusters and quite a few of them had good female lead movies before. Even Wonder Woman herself was created by a man.
