I thought this would be a good idea to catch up on what everyone enjoys watching on TV nowadays, learn about new shows that may be on and worth checking out, or discussing our favorite, older shows that have been on for years, or past favorites that are missed.

Personally, I am a bit of a Discovery Channel addict. When I am watching TV, 90% of the time, I have it on Discovery Channel. They just have some of the coolest shows lately. I love watching Monster House, Monster Garage, American Chopper, American Casino and Mythbusters, plus they always have really cool specials, like Shark Week ect. I enjoy watching Comedy Central alot as well, I have been a South Park fan since the first season, Chapelle's Show is funny, as well as Reno 911. I am sure that I am leaving out some shows. One that I really miss is MST 3K, I always loved that show and once in awhile you can catch it on reruns on the Sci-Fi channel.

Let me hear some of everyone elses favorites!

Correction... I believe the USA is in first place for the TOTAL number of medals won, not for Gold Medals only.

My roommate has me watching Alias now, been catching up on past episodes. I cant believe I have been overlooking this show for so long, it is AWESOME. I am looking forward to the new season starting in January.

Anyone see South Park last week- The Woodland Critter Christmas Special? It was HILARIOUS!

Hey, I am new here as well. 311, I agree with your choices and especially like Mythbusters and American Chopper. But I am addicted to Law & Order, the original one, the others are ok, and to CSI, again the original. I also love Extreme Elemination Challenge on SpikeTV. My sides hurt after watching that show. Other than those shows I am usually watching Cartoon Network or Sci-Fi Channel.

I always enjoy watching Law & Order as well, especially the original like you said, I was sad to hear about Lenny's death recently.

<<<I was sad to hear about Lenny's death recently.>>>

Yeah, that was depressing. He left L&O recently, his character retired, and he started working on a new L&O spinoff where he was working as an investigator for the DA's office. I read that they had filmed 6 episodes on the new show with Lenny being in at least half of them. The new show is supposed to air in March...

Anyone familiar with the show "Firefly?" It aired on Fox a couple years ago and was wrongfully canceled. My roommate owns the complete series on DVD, I highly recommend picking it up or renting it. It is absolutely AWESOME! You would not be disappointed. Makes me mad, all the trash on TV nowadays, especially on Fox and they canceled that incredible show. Check it out if you get a chance.

Anyone watching the new season of Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel? Its been very good so far, quite different from the original, but the mini-series was good and so far the tv series has been pretty awesome.

i love Teen Titans (and have no problem admitting that ;)), southpark can be funny but gets on my nerves sometimes, I laugh really hard at King of the Hill but don't get to watch it much, i too LOVE to watch Extreme Elemination Challenge on SpikeTV!! that show is just hilarious :D

i also like most of the shows on Discovery (Mythbusters is one of my fave, but they are all pretty good). I liked Firefly when it was out, very sad to see it cancelled. Other than that, I'm usually forced to watch cartoons for my kid.

    :)
