What is your favorite none canon EU material?

Can you link to this announcement, because what I recall is that TV shows are canon unless contradicted. The 2d show was made specifically to bridge ep2 to 3, I saw nothing in TCW that overwrote it.

While Lucasfilm always strived to keep the stories created for the EU consistent with our film and television content as well as internally consistent, Lucas always made it clear that he was not beholden to the EU. He set the films he created as the canon. This includes the six Star Wars episodes, and the many hours of content he developed and produced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. These stories are the immovable objects of Star Wars history, the characters and events to which all other tales must align.

Demand for past tales of the Expanded Universe will keep them in print, presented under the new Legends banner.

We see "post-knighting Anakin" (still with short hair and no scar) flying a ROTS Jedi Interceptor at the beginning of CW Season 2. However, in TCW Season 1 he stars with the scar, and the long hair, flying the Delta 7B - and Jedi Interceptors do not appear till Season 5.

John Jackson Miller's Kenobi novel

 

Darth Plagueis, Kenobi, Darth Bane trilogy, Thrawn trilogy, and finally ideas from the Jedi Apprentice series and Secrets of the Jedi although the books themselves are Young Adult and thus not the most interesting reads for adults.

 

The Bane trilogy, The Old Republic novels, and Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void.

 

Well this takes it to a new level of Non Canon as it was never intended to be so, but I LOVE the infinities comics. They take the story in a new fascinating direction. I wish they would have continued with them into the PT and other stuff.

But my favorite EU stories are the ones that bridge the trilogies, The Life and Legend of Obiwan Kenobi, the Rise and fall of Darth Vader, Tatooine Ghost and The Dark Nest crisis. I love seeing how the "OT3" react to their parents actions and the events of the PT

 

The Force Unleashed, played through the campaign six times, logged almost a week of playing time.

I would also include TCW and even Rebels in my favourite non-canon EU material!

 

Karen Traviss´s Republic Comando series.

 

I would say Darth Plagueis, Outbound Flight and Traitor are my favourites.
