CT What is your favorite scene from each of the Classic Trilogy movies?

ANH - Luke and the twin Suns
ESB - Yoda and the X-Wing
ROTJ - "I'll never turn to the dark side. I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

ANH: The trench run
TESB: Luke v Vader
ROTJ: Sail barge assault

 

Love the ANH and ROTJ scenes with Leia. Love the scenes involving Vader and Luke in TESB and ROTJ, especially when he saves Luke and the redemption scene.

 

ANH: any scene that shows ordinary family life for Luke, Beru and Owen, I'd watch a whole movie on them alone.
ESB: Vaders last scene when he sees the MF fly off into hyperspace, one can only imagine an internal thought here.
ROTJ: Palpatine and Vader scenes, their master and apprentice relationship is very intriguing, esp when comparing it to the PT.

 

ANH: You're all clear kid....
ESB: Well you slimy double crossing no good swindler....
ROTJ: Not bad for a little furball....

 

ANH - too many to mention, love it all.
ESB - as above
ROTJ - Vader, Like lightsaber battle

 

ANH--Detention block breakout scene. (when I was a kid it was definitely the trash compactor scene though. I don't know why if fascinated me so much)
ESB--Carbonite scene.
ROTJ--"I love you" "I know" *bam, bam--Leia shoots two stormtroopers off Han's back

 

In truth this is me, too.

 

ANH: Either Tarkin's Last stand or Motti being choked.
ESB: Target. Maximum Firepower.
ROTJ: Boba Fett? Where?...And then BF is reduced to a tasty snack.

 

IV: the moment obi wan enters luke's mind as he connects with the force just before destroying the death star
V: when yoda's theme kicks in as he lifts luke's xwing out of the swamp on dagobah; artoo's chirps of disbelief seals the deal
VI: "just for once, let me look on you with my own eyes."

 

Vader's redemption and passing. Hands down.

 

Tough to say, but I'll try.

ANH: I guess when Luke hear's Ben's voice and turns off his X-Wing computer and uses the Force. When I was 8 years old and saw this in the theater, though, the Cantina scene was my favorite part. I'd never seen anything like it - all those alien creatures were incredible, plus the music!

TESB: When Yoda lifts Luke's X-Wing out of the swamp. Also, the light sabre duel with Luke and Vader was pretty awesome.

ROTJ: Luke strutting into Jabba's palace and dressed in black, acting so confident, and gaining admission to Jabba thanks to use of his Jedi powers.

 

ANH: trench run
ESB: Asteroid field (love the music)
ROTJ: Battle at pit

 

ANH: The cantina
ESB: Leia, Lando and Chewie's escape from Cloud City
ROTJ: Lando's attack on Death Star II

But these could change for any number of others, they're phenomenal from beginning to end.

 

ANH: Escape from the Death Star, I even loved the board game.
TESB: Luke fighting Vader with the greatest line, "The Force is with you, young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet."
ROTJ: Luke on the DS with Vader and Palpatine.

 

ANH: Obi-Wan sacrificing himself so Luke may escape.That look he is giving Luke before he goes into position to die and becomes one with the force.

 

ESB: Luke realizes who Yoda is in Yodas hut.

 

ROTJ: Luke defeating Vader in anger.

 

ESB Han and Leia arguing in the hallway of Echo Base.
And the other people just walking through the argument and Han and Leia backing up if necessary or around it and no one bats an eye.

 

It makes me think it's not their first big argument in public. People walking by are probably thinking, "Here they go again. Why don't they just kiss and get a room?"

 

I like to think that Rogue Squadron placed bets on their arguments.
I wish we could get a series about the day to day going-on's at Echo Base.
And Han and Leia going back and forth would pop up.

 

ANH: The attack on the Death Star

TESB: The snow battle, the asteroid scene and Luke vs Vader

ROTJ: Speeder bike chase and the final duel with Luke and Vader

 

ANH - Most of it!
TESB - All of it!
ROTJ - Luke meeting Vader on Endor. "Indeed you are powerful as the Emperor has foreseen" - send shivers down my spine just typing that!
