Well, that would be because turkey is, itself, bland and uninspired. Thanksgiving steaks, that would be getting somewhere.

As to the topic, pumpkin pie is the best thing ever.

There are ways to make turkey not bland, if you know how to cook.

Yes. By combining it with other meats. Such as bacon.

Or just using proper seasoning, and a flavor injector.

I agree with tom. I never liked most Thanksgiving food.

I was hoping to do something nontraditional this year but then my relatives had to go and make (for them) last-minute plans. Maybe I can still bail and eat something decent-- and vegetarian (I have to mention that whenever I can). I'll just start talking about my views and make every one of my politically diverse family annoyed.

I don't know if I will be able to find turkey for Thanksgiving. If not, I'll be having chicken and putting cranberry sauce on it anyway, because cranberry. My favorite part of thanksgiving is sweet potatoes with marshmallows, though.

Rolls. Cheap, easily cooked at any time of the year rolls. Preferably the $1.00 kind from Kroger/King's Sooper/Fry's/Whatever.
