Census What is your favourite Season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

I only watched part of one season, and I can't even remember which one it was.

 

Season 5. It had a great big bad in Glory, an engaging season-long arc and contained two of the most powerful episodes of television I've ever seen, The Body and The Gift.

It was the most fun, but still didn't lose the 'serious' edge.

 

I liked Season 3 because of the whole Faith and the Mayor arc and how it brought a whole new layer to the show, but Season 2 with Angelus is a close second.

 

Really hard to choose which season is the best since Buffy consistently has high quality to balance out the negatives. When season four has the worst overall arc the same season has the best standalone episodes in the season. Season five has the obnoxious Glory (am I the only Buffy fan that can't stand her at all?) balanced out by Joyce's arc. I can say that seasons five and seven are the weakest, but the best is far more trickier.

Season 2 is where it all started, and season 3 is the best season out of all them. I just couldn't get into the post spike/buffy thing. It seemed like Angel all over again. Spike was at his best in season 2. Still, a subpar episode of Buffy is 10 times superior to most of the stuff that's out there now.

 

3, the only season when I consistently watched.

Season 7

 

Season 2 - I Buffy and Angel. Spike is pretty fun too, just not with Buffy.

 

Gah! So hard to choose, but I went with Season 3.

 

It's been a while since the series ended, but I'm sure there are still some Buffy fans out there

 

I feel that seasons 2 and 3, were by far the best from the series. I felt that the show lost something with the exit of the the Angel and Cordellia characters. The relationship of Angel and Buffy was such a large center of the show for so long, and I really enjoyed the Xander/Cordellia/Willow/Oz quad. I liked the character of Spike, but he just never quite clicked with Buffy for me. I liked Riley more with Buffy, than with Spike. To me it was interesting to see Buffy with a semi-normal person. The last season I enjoyed, at all, was season 5. I feel that was due to their getting back to the connections of the four main characters more than in season 4, or for the later seasons for that matter.

 

Season 5 was probably the best in my expert opinion.

 

Definitely Season 2.
