Fun What is your latest purchase?

So mom wanted something for under eye bags and puffiness and that turned into Amazon binge: Hellraiser limited edition blu ray (from Arrow), The Scarlet Gospels (Barker's long overdue when Harry D'Amour met Pinhead story - which I am about 3 years late in reading), High Plains Drifter blu, and another vegetarian magazine (I don't know why I am bothering, but I like reading about food when I am eating.)

I love the Cenobites. Such a cool design.

My last purchase was a sandwich at the pub, but my friend ended up picking up the check, so technically, it was only an imaginary purchase.

 

I haven’t seen Night of the Living Dead in years, I still love Duane Jones in it. But noticing that Criterion released this, I had to pick it up.

Agree about the Cenobites (marveling and cringing at Chattering Cenobite and the female whose exposed throat still makes me wince. Or maybe it’s just how much she enjoys her work). Just discovered that Doug Bradley learned how to apply and remove his Pinhead make up & costume so well, if you see Bill Bradley as a make up assistant in later Hellraiser movie credits - that’s him.

Hellraiser is scary in many ways and pretty disturbing. It’s definitely among my favorite horror movies. I owned the movie poster in the late 80s. Glad I found Arrow’s Limited Edition release from last year. Their LE blus usually sell out fast (Grumbling at myself for not picking up the region B City of the Living Dead).

Salvation by Peter F. Hamilton, this'll be the first book I have read by this author.

 

A bunch of apartment stuff such as rugs, a modem, a Christmas candle, a little fake Xmas tree, garbage bags/buckets, etc.

 

Been collecting kaiju films the last year and I added four more films from the Toho Godzilla Collection! Double Features on blu ray.

These movies are so kriffing fun to watch and I dig these blu ray double feature sets because they are economical, have cool artwork, including on the inside of the case, and all but one set have included digital codes as well. They are short on special features, usually just a trailer, but it's Godzilla movies on blu ray without breaking the bank.

 

Groceries and Sunday papers this morning. All the shopping is done for Christmas lunch now. Next Sunday I'll deal with New Years as I'll have room in the freezer again after I take the turkey out to defrost on Saturday.

Just received two Acid Rain Space Prisoners from Entertainment Earth and a super neat custom laser cannon tower from ebay.

 

Also a tempered glass protector and extra charging cord for new phone.

 

Christmas presents

 

Grass clippers and birdseed at the local garden center and lunch at a store on the walk home.

 

Tickets to tonight's fan screening of Aquaman.
