For some reason my son found the bit where Han and Chewie, chained together and both waving frantically for Rio's ship to stop and pick them up hilarious. He was laughing his head off, it really tickled him.

The absolute funniest exchange in the movie:

Val: Instead you're putting our lives in the hands of morons.
    Beckett: Are you guys morons?
    Han: No!
    Beckett: See? They're not morons.

When Han or Qi'ra comment about Lando's capes.
All of the humor was great but Lando and his capes [face_laugh]

I thought the majority of the humour was well done, not out of place and related to the character. It was very similiar to the OT. I didn't find any of it cringe worthy like TLJ.

All of them, but I think the funniest scene was Qi'ra putting out the fire with Lando's cape.

This is how you do comedy on Star Wars, every line was funny and not forced/ try hard/awkward.

L3, Lando, Han and Chewie were so funny, Rio too.

The are certain characters and circumstances that allow room for jokes, what they do with Hux and Finn was how you should not force something to be funny.

    Kasdan duo delivered.

I liked Qi'ra's reaction when Han said they needed to put power into the rear deflector shields. "We certainly do!" as she looked at the controls, clearly not knowing what to do.

Not necessarily a "joke", per se, but the most Han Solo thing in the entire world is when Qira hands him the cape on a hanger and he doesn't even look and just drops it as he keeps talking to her.

Chewie's wail of misery when Han shows him his cards during the last game of sabaac.

Ironically, that's one and only input from George Lucas himself.

For me, the funniest aspect was seeing Han speaking Wookie complete with translation.

Lando doing the whole "Calrissian Chronicles" vlogging bit also seemed kind of contemporary (I would Subscribe to Lando's YouTube channel if it did exist though -- with the bell too), but his vanity made the whole bit work.

Do you have an article for that? I could have sworn Ron Howard said that George's input was about Han from an interview he gave.

Oh!! I misunderstood, I thought you meant the scene of Qi'ra using the cape to put out the fire was George's.

I did love that scene, Han was just focused on something more than the cape LOL

L3 "not feeling the same way about lando" and the shower scene went over really well with me.

"I thought we were in trouble there, but it's fine. We're fine."

Oh wait, they didn't include it in the movie :'(

Virtually ALL of the humor worked like gangbusters for me because it was more character-based than joke-based -- things like Han throwing mud in his future best friend's face or Lando smugly dictating "The Calrissian Chronicles...Chapter 5." Also, Alden's facial expressions and line readings ("We've already got the pilot!") constantly made me smile. To me, this is what SW humor should be.

There were only two jokes in the entire movie that I didn't like (though both got big laughs from my audience). One was early on with Lady Proxima ("You just made a clicking sound with your mouth!"). That joke felt very Lord & Miller. The other was L3's on-the-nose "equal rights" crack, though Lando rolling his eyes salvaged it.

Kasdan really has a knack for old school humor -- funny without turning into SNL or a Jonah Hill riff-off. By contrast, a movie like Infinity War represents everything I hate about modern blockbuster humor.

Yep, this is the one I remember most. Laughed out loud in the theater! (not the only time)

Overall, the humor in this one was really good. There was nothing cringe-worthy and it didn't seem too "21st century Earthy" like The Last Jedi's.

Pretty much all of them, the humor was really well done for the most part. In the theatre that I was at, pretty much all of Han's funny bits in particular got good reactions from the audience.

The bit where Han and Chewie were preparing to escape the pit, and were pretending to beat each other up was amusing. And Han complimenting The MF after trashing it making the Kessel Run, plus Lando's reaction, was also really funny.
