Since you seem to be basing this assessment on Social Democracy upon the actions of Ebert, should I be basing your entire philosophy upon Lenin's actions? I mean to be fair your ideology is more based around Lenin ideas specifically than mine is around any individual.

Firstly I don't agree with Ebert's actions in apparently ordering the murder of Luxemburg and Liebknecht. I agree with putting down the uprising, because I don't believe in revolutionary action, but given she was apparently a prisoner her death is unacceptable. My point is that it's silly to paint Social Democrats with the Ebert-murdered-Luxemburg brush (I half assumed you were joking, but it appears you're serious).

I don't share your appraisal of Lenin. I think he was a callous murderer. As Russell described, he callously thought that hanging landlords from trees was a positive thing. Yes, I also think that killing the Tsar's family is a terrible crime. I don't even agree with the execution of the Tsar himself - I take Thomas Paine's view on this matter. I also think that comparing Lenin to Lincoln because the latter suspended habeas corpus is a bit rich. Your apparent hatred of Social Democrats is odd given you support Bernie rather passionately.
