What religious beliefs do you have?

i'm a chritian, god is the one and only god and he is niether boy or girl, just pure good, richesness and love...........wait i just said he right? o.k forget what i said not all of it just th.............................were am i? who am i? what am i doing here? I'm an adherent of Zoroastrianism.

 

I was raised Catholic, but have recently dabbled in Buddhism. Trying to figure out my religious beliefs has taken a back seat to trying to figure out my moral beliefs. And it will be many more years till I figure that out. I suppoe I'm something of a humanist now.

 

I'm a Christian/Presbyterian. I like debating Creationism vs. Atheism, and I don't really know why. Maybe just because I love defending the holy, loving Lord that defends me. (PMs people, PMs.)

 

According to this poll, about half the posters here a Christian. It would be kind of nice if we had our own forum where we could share stories about our beliefs and faith, without having to worry about offending others.

Maybe have a section entitled 'religion' in which there could be seperate forums for all different belief systems.

You're actually right Ender. Having a Religious Forum would probably be a really bad idea. All it'd be is just a bunch of flaming and stuff. This IS a Star Wars after all.

I agree. However, there exists an extremely subtle difference between a weak atheist and and agnostic. The religious definition of 'Agnosticism' is:

One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

Protestant Christian 100%. I currently like Presbyterianism, but I don't have a definative denomination.

Oh and I would like having a religous forum but there'd be way too many people insulting others beliefs and making general statements such as "Everyone who believes in God is brainwashed" and "Religion only causes death and destruction", which in themselves are only borderline statements but will almost always cause a large flamish reaction.

 

Buddhism is the religion that I try to live my life by, but I don't label myself a Buddhist. Labels are dangerous, as is fundamentalism of any kind.

 

I belive in God. In my story Feddom Wars, which as of right now I am in the process of making the first major human battle, God is the creator of most spices. Stories and tales differ, across the 2 Galaxies that the war is fought, but they all point to God.

 

I saw this on a bumper sticker. It said "My Karma ran over your Dogma". I just thought it was funny.

Um... Well actually I love God in all hia forms. I was raised in a syncretized faith called Lucumi. Its part catholic belief and African Orisha/ divination.

Religion in your life is good, but war over religion is bad.

 

Whatever the opposite of Christian is, I'm that.
