Not just limited to your iPod or iTunes playlist, this thread is for all things music related.

At the moment I?m rather enjoying the album Exit Music -Songs for Radio Heads.
Basically it?s an album full of different artists covering Radiohead songs. Some work brilliantly well, my favs being Sia?s take of Paranoid Android, Osunlade doing Everything in its Right Place and Sa-Ra?s In Limbo.
The Bad Plus do an instrumental version of Karma Police which is nice but I feel it needs the lyrics.

The Arctic Monkeys new LP is also sounding great and I like the fact they aren?t just doing a boring single release.

Also really looking forward to new albums from Keane (their new single is very quickly growing on me), Snow Patrol and Zero7, whom I?ll be seeing in June :D

What do people think of The Streets??
Musical genius or proof that Chavs have too much pocket money?? :p

Personally, I prefer Goldie Looking Chain to The Streets (they crack me up)but I do actually think the boy's got talent; not quite a musical genius though. Haven't got an iPod but I do have an mp3 player that's usually got Linkin Park blasting out of it. Friday Streets were a good band too but they split up.

Last time I posted anything about my choice of music, I got ribbed. I like a lot of old stuff, but my fave band is Queen, so you'll find me listening mostly to Queen.

And I'm also playing the Wicked sountrack over and over, and I won't be seeing it until Sept 7 at the Apollo theatre.....

Com'on Nat, don't be shy. We wont laugh at you ;)
Queen are great, one of the best and you'll love We Will Rock You!!
I'm not a fan of The Darkness. I hate arrogant bands and if they want to be taking seriously, they should stop using gimmicks to sell themselves, or else they'll only ever be seen as a tribute band.

Nice list there Ell. I'd like to hear more stuff from System of a Down.
And I agree Koren, I really like the humour of GLC and I think that works much better. But there are some tracks from The Streets that I confess to liking [face_blush]

Any Bloc Party fans out there???

Matt, I've seen We Will Rock You, and will be seeing it for thei third time when I'm in London! I like Aussie stuff - you'll say who? As I said, a lot of 60's and 70's stuff. And the decent 80's stuff. A lot of current stuff is just rubbish.

I actually just lost quite a bit of music off of mine, but what I've been able to recover:

Carbon Leaf - my all time favorite band from the States, have some great stuff. Lots of free music online at amazon.com and their webpage.

Zero 7 - Simple Things , awesome awesome band, espcially Destiny and In the Waiting Line

Dave Matthews Band - Very hard to find online, but my brother got me some albums back.

    Coldplay - Great stuff

I really want to get some of the Arctic Monkey's stuff, what I've heard is excellent. Also the Keiser Chiefs.

I don't have an iPod either, this is just a general Music thread. I just wanted to plug Apple seeming as I'm a MacMan :p

Andrew, I'll have to try and listen to some of Carbon Leaf's stuff. I also love Zero7; have you heard their new single yet with Jose Gonzalez?? It's great :D
Arctic Monkeys are ace too and so far they've manage to live up to the hype.
And I recommend Bloc Party of cause. I saw them last month and they played some new material which was fantastic. Last year's album Silent Alarm was one of the best of the year!!

Nat, I'll also have to go with Queen....and perhaps some musicals too ;)

We can read you like a book, Nat :p

Andrew, I'm afarid I don't own a copy of the new Zero 7 single (called 'Futures'), and it doesn't seem to be getting much airplay on the radio which is really annoying. But the single is available to download from the iTunes store....79pence well spent :D
