My windows laptop fans whirring away while it's updating (meanwhile my MacBook Pro updates in silence, secretly chuckling to itself).

 

I've grown to really like this Crypta song; it's very much the American death metal sound and style I was into in the late '80s and early '90s (which was different than UK/European Death Metal which I still prefer now) . This is the only track that's really hit me where I hoped the entire album would, I respect the band immensely. Perhaps subsequent albums will grow on me.

Posting the guitars only, I know Fernanda's vocal style is a bit harsh (I love her low end growls, but the high end no.) I am still into the low end death metal growling style, that low end is the pitch I attempted to emulate myself.

I may get excited over new death metal by bands I still enjoy, but I still listen to Bolt Thrower more than any other metal band. In other words, nothing's changed about my noisy listening preferences in 32 years.
