Richie Havens playing up a storm while calling out a dead guitar mic. One of those little, easily overlooked gems from Woodstock.

 

I think what I like most about this performance is the casual smile that Grace Slick has right before she takes the mic and effortlessly starts laying into those brassy, bluesy, balls-to-the-wall vocals that she brought to Jefferson Airplane (and later Starship).

 

This masterpiece was recorded in one take when RM showed up drunk to producer eAeon's house to record this idea that popped into his head.

That's actually my favorite piece from Pirates 3. I like it in the beginning and after King Elizabeth's speech. Thanks for sharing, Mr. G.
