Fun what song are you listening to? (v. 47) - Embedded Video Heavy

When I was a kid there was a ,man named Mr. Ike who had an old Union 76 gas station out by the main road that passed through our town. In the driveway to his gas station was a concrete ... not really a slab but more of a blob. Someone building a house had some leftover concrete and they had it poured down in Mr. Ike's driveway. But anyway, on Saturday nights everyone would go out to his store. If you could play an instrument you brought it with you and played. If not you got out on the concrete and danced.

There wasn't any Cajun music being played back then, it was mostly bluegrass and a bit of folk, but this reminds me of those Saturday nights.

 

Alicia certainly knows how to interpret her Schumann in a much impactful way.

Incredible how she can bring out the melody so clearly whilst executing those rolling arpeggios so effortlessly. Breathtaking.

Would bring a tear to old Robert's eye himself methinks. Gosh!

 

The mood is deep. Lyrics, nay.

This is one my favorite tunes of all time. I must have heard this in the early 80s then didn't hear it again till the 90s. I am deprived by not hearing the moods in this glorious tune.
