I wonder how many fans are going to the 2nd City performance and the 501st Bash at the museum? my husband, who is from Chicago says everyone should be very careful if they are traveling from one end of the city to the other(north-south)late at night. be very aware of you surroundings and belongings! travel in groups-always if possible, esp. if you're in costume. get a flashlight, think safety when in Chicago and try to have fun.

Papa John's, Subway, Burger King appear to be within a couple of blocks west of McCormick.
It appears Chinatown is a bit further west.

Navy Pier is always a good option. Shopping, restaurants, and an IMAX theater, among other things.

The Cadillac Palace Theater is a great place to catch a musical, but you probably would want to already have tickets by now.

Willis Tower is the second-tallest building in America, really cool to go to the Skydeck.

Tomorrow will be cold and rainy all day - good museum day for those arriving today/early tomorrow: Planetarium/Natural History Museum/Art Institute - great days for all that. Visibility from Willis Tower or the Hancock building will be terrible.

Who is all going to the Cubs game tomorrow? Wife and I bought ponchos since it's going to be rainy.

I hope you guys get the game in. It looks like it's mostly in the afternoon though, so you should be okay.

Yeah - if it's too rainy they won't play.

I suggest checking their website before you make the trip if it's wet:
    https://www.mlb.com/cubs
There's a 'contact us' section at the bottom.

There's not anything they'll do for you. If it rains out, you can exchange for another game, but that's it.

Yeah, but if they check the website to make sure the game is on before they go at least it won't be a wasted trip.

I'm pretty excited. Saturday night, there's a band I like playing at Lincoln Hall in Lincoln Park: Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. Pretty much straightforward rock and roll with a bit of country/southwestern influence. If you will be in the area, it's worth checking out.

@Link1130 have you been to Wrigley Field before? If not I'd say go even if it's a rainout just to see the neighborhood and check out some of the local establishments. Wrigleyville is fun even if there is no game.

Have not. Definitely will check out the area regardless although considering I've bought tickets ideally I'll be able to use those.

Maybe if everyone coming in tomorrow just goes up to Oak Street Beach with their towels and sunglasses we can will the weather into the upper 70s.

Today it made it to 60 degrees so it would've been perfect for the beach. I just checked the report for tomorrow and I don't think any amount of will can convince it to go from the 40s to the 70s.

That's probably for the best. You really want to experience Chicago beaches the way they were meant to be experienced:

Went to the game. It wasn't rained out, but it was uncomfortably cold. Still pretty fun, though.

Daughter woke up 6am and made our way to Milennum Park, "The Bean," and Adler Planetarium. If you're in need of a breather, all fun to see!
