I watched a show about some guys geting into some sort of romance school. The most succesful one would have the rank Human, the least succesful was ranked as RAT or something.

    Any ideas?

Well, with the recent news of them exploring a remake of Flight of Navigator (WHY?! It's perfect, dammit!), it got me thinking as to what other 80's kid classics might get tapped for remakes (I fear for Explorers, I really do), and what might make for an actual GOOD remake.

So that got me thinking of a movie I caught on cable or video in the 90's, but was likely made in the 80's. I can't remember the name, but it was a sci-fi/horror/kids premise, with a group of invading aliens having either hidden a ship underground or built a base underground in this kid's backyard, and he and his friends/siblings at some point rescue the parents from within, and the aliens' plans or weaknesses had something to do with copper- I remember copper being an important facet to the story either as a weapon source or means to defeta the aliens or something, like a roll of pennies.

    Any takers?

Something like "Smartest people in the room" or some such. Don't remember the title exactly either.
Barbarians at the Gate was a good one about similar corporate shenanigans at Nabisco.

^Not really. When you say a band of kids, do you literally mean a musical group composed of children? Or just a group of children like The Three Investigators?
