At the beginning of the week I started watching an old PBS documentary (now available on Amazon Prime) called, "American Experience: New York". It's an 8-part series; with each episode being nearly two hours of vivid stories and details on the history of Manhattan Island from way back when the Dutch first settled there.

The last episode I watched talked about the Erie Canal; built in only 7 years (three years ahead of schedule). Compare that to now; where with all the BS Red Tape and other logistics the East Side Access project (connecting the Long Island Railroad to Grand Central Terminal) has literally been going on for decades.

Watched two more episodes from S1 of Miami Vice.

It's a good show. I can see why it was and still is popular. There is a good use of music in the show and the cinematography is pretty good.

Really makes me want to visit Miami again as I haven't been there in awhile.

Always remember the entire show happened because Brandon Tartikoff wrote on a brainstorming memo "MTV Cops".

"The Medarra Block", a third-season episode of "I Spy". I always get a kick out of the ad-libbed banter between Robinson and Scott. And this episode involved puzzle boxes, which are always tremendously cool.

The first half of the two-hour Episode three of American Experience: New York. The aftermath of the Civil War, the Brooklyn Bridge, the first real recession to hit the big city, and the rise of a banker/financier who for good or bad would eventually make a name for himself by the name of JP Morgan.

Started watching Space 1999 - which I hadn't watched since a kid - and very surprised to see Ian McShane was in the very second episode!! He looked soooooo young, almost unrecognisable!

Finished season 5 and 6 of Adventure Time. Started season 7 too - I’m half way through the Marceline episodes. The quality of this animated show blows me away. I literally cannot fault it. It’s weird and wonderful. 10/10 for each season.

    Several episodes.
    One dark, frigid night.

A Judgement Night, if you will.
And Then the Sky Opened and our pilots disappeared.

And we escaped to Earth from Doomsday in Third From The Sun.

Perchance to Dream, I Shot An Arrow Into the Air.

Somewhere, it's happened before, or might happen, indeed it is happening; right now, in the Twilight Zone.

    Binged Netflix's Love is Blind
Premise: Men and women talk to each other in pods where they can not see each other. They get to know each other for maybe a week or less and that's it. If they make a connection and if they want to meet the person on the other side, they have to propose. If the proposal is accepted, they meet in person, they go on vacation together, they meet each other's parents, and they have a wedding. This "experiment" all happens in a span of 38 days to see whether love is truly blind.

In summary, don't waste your time.

Personally, I got sucked in because I wanted to know what happens. I liked that it was very fast and focused on separate couples instead of shows like The Bachelor that only focuses on one guy and a bunch of girls.

There are the characters you'll love and the characters you'll hate. You can probably guess what will happen with each couple from the first or second episode, and you'd probably be right. Curiosity got the best of me, so that's 10+ hours I'll never get back.

"Death Has Dominion". Blessed is actually more restrained in that one. Using foam for snow was a poor decision, but that shot aboard the Eagle after they lift off. *shudder*
"Dragon's Domain" tops that shot, though.

Oh, I'm going to try going through "Midsomer Murders" from the beginning. Just watched "The Killings at Badger's Drift". Good mystery, with some really twisted elements.

Just finished the first episode of "Rutland Weekend Television", Eric Idle's follow-up to MPFC, on YouTube. I'd heard about the series for years, but it was never syndicated over here, so far as I know. I did see a few sketches in the archives at the Paley Center in NYC. Anyway, the episode was generally OK, though done on a notoriously low budget. The opening sketch was re-done on SNL with Idle and Dan Ackroyd. Neil Innes' songs were good, though.
