    I love Taika's films and series, especially Hunt for the Wilderpeople which I think is one of the greatest movies ever made.

    That said, I don't think he's right for Star Wars.

    Jeff Sneider believes Taika “is not exactly beloved at Lucasfilm”. He says it’s a very similar to the Patty Jenkins situation with LFL.

    This one is a real beauty, but here's the best part :cool:

    When Disney/Kathy announced their intention to produce a Sequel Trilogy, I think we all reasonably wondered what that really meant. Ten years later, I think the overall picture could finally becoming clear:

    It's not just three movies. It's not just a "trilogy" either. We're talking about three totally different, completely unique visions for Star Wars. We're talking three different men, each with totally different visions for what Star Wars can be, and total control for their visions. We had JJ and Rian, and now - finally - it's Taika time. The circle shall be complete . . . at last.

    For me it’s about what kind of story he’s telling. I really would love a The Suicide Squad-esque film about a total misfit group of mercenaries hunting down some Imperial or something from him. Bring Jaxxon into live action and just go crazy with it. I don’t think he needs to do anything Jedi related.
