What weapon of mass destruction scares you the most?

I am actually scared of Chemical and Biological weapons more than Nuclear weapons. If you are at ground zero of a Nuclear blast, at least you would die instantly.

 

Whatever has the widest damage radius, because if I were affected by a WOMD, it woudl be because the US was hit and I'm close by.

 

Other: human civilization.

 

Why live in fear?

 

Biological would be the nastiest since we would know it was coming. People would start getting sick and die and you would just know that it was gonna get you eventually.

But the humans won't stop there. They'll make bigger boards and bigger nails, and soon, they will make a board with a nail so big, it will destroy them all!

 

All of them terrify me equally! *Shudder*

 

Nuclear: Hits once, destroys a lot of stuff and people, and leaves radiation behind. Potential damage from one bomb? A whole city. From nuclear war? The world.

Chemical: Hits, poisons burns and kills everyone, potentially makes the area unlivable, yet leaves most non-living stuff unharmed. Can be cleaned up, eventually. Painful, but not so scary.

Biological: Hits, and spreads, and mutates, and spreads, and plagues, and kills everyone and makes the world uninhabitable by humans. Can't ever be guaranteed to be stopped. Great, it gets my vote.

Biological. However, I'm not really scared. I don't think there is a large chance of any of these being weilded in the near future. Why? Too much fear.

Biological...Hell they all scare me

 

If there's one thing I've learned from working in labs, it's this: chemicals are scary. It's true that chemical weapons used in a given region wouldn't cause as many casualties as a few grams of botulism toxin well-distributed over a country, but the people affected by them would suffer much more.

 

I picked bio weapons. I THINK chemical weapons are harder to make, and I know nuclear weapons are very hard to make.
