you're not wrong
There are whispers of SA shutting down again to avoid a repeat of Victoria! I hope not!!
ah yes... over here in NSW cases for yesterday was shocking
EDIT: it's getting more serious since the 21 cases in the Casula pub
Buying a new washing machine/Dryer combo. My old set was destroyed by the worst/best Sith of all time, Darth Time.
Finally filled the car up with petrol/gasoline. It's been quite awhile but it needed it.
In my 20s, on any Friday or Saturday night, I'd be in some club, shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone including my friends. And yelling so I could be heard.
I wonder how I'd spend those same nights now. Skype? Zoom nightclubs? The Distracted Globe?
Rearranging my sewing room today...... such fun!!
Sent from my X Wing via sub space.
Doing yoga, drinking coffee, listening to the monsoon rain.
I put a single bed in my sewing room for my mum to come visit as she lives in the country and dad isn't ready to move closer yet. Mum wants to spend more time closer to the city so my brothers and I are all setting up space for her to stay with us. I'm pleased.
I moved into my new place on the 1st of August, so for most of this quarantine I've been working and planning to move, then working and executing the move.
Right now just trying to get acclimated to the new surroundings, I'm a sofa and love seat away from being what I call completely in. Those will be here Thursday and Friday
Did you buy those online or brick-and-mortar?
honestly quarantine over here isn't really a thing anymore (unless you're in melbourne)
I just saw a bike shop I've frequented for 10 years here is out of business.
I bought them online. I couldn't resist being a prime member
We're still laying low here, no nightclubs, no big gatherings, no parties etc. Only 10 in the house at one time, and we have less cases than you guys I think. We a cautious lot here in SA. Working for us, looks like we might be getting the AFL Grand Final!
yeah, ours is kind of rising... the highest so far i believe is 20 something...
Playing PS4 (Star Wars Battlefront II & Jedi: Fallen Order)
Watching Star Wars on Disney+, especially The Mandalorian
Reading the Del Rey Star Wars Books. I have eight of them so far.
Hmmm.... What have I been doing during quarantine? Spending time with my family, playing with my cat, school (ugh!), writing fan fiction stories with a forum I'm part of, reading SW books, talking about Star Wars, dreaming about SW, and watching movies. Everything's about SW!!!
Oh, and going to library and eating ice cream. Pretty fun, right?
Sounds about par for the Covid Course. Stay here and hang with your friends!
Quarantine has been really tough here mentally and financially for me and the hits just keep on coming, but it's fine cause I've obeyed the rules and stayed safe so far, and I know most people on a global level have it much worse than I do. Take the poor folks in Lebanon for only one example.
One positive was that I finally had time/interest to start watching Doctor Who. That show will always be linked to the 2020 pandemic in my mind as it has provided some much needed escapism during very lonely, depressing times.
Sadly some countries are not making easy for the good people who live there to bunker down and stay safe. Melbourne is one of our biggest cities and its currently in lockdown....These images were taken Friday and Friday night in the city.........the city is a ghost town on Level 4 lockdown.
^ Too bad the US wont do that.
I am not saying its easy, cause I have family over there and it is so not easy. So many are struggling, but we keep reminding ourselves we will get through this. The country will be in dept for many years to make this happen, we all are aware of it, but it's the price we have to pay and most of us are happy to make the sacrifice. Of course we have 'anti maskers' and in Victoria its currently law, and you go out without one on, you get up to a $5,000 fine.
The anti-maskers exist everywhere. I still cant figure out where masks designed to protect society have become political.
