ST What's the "essential checklist" for IX? (not what you want, but what it needs)

Any chance this thread can get a new name since everybody is listing what they want and not what's essentially needed? Essential needs would be along the lines of alien races, space ships, lightsabers, the Force, the contractually obligated to return cast etc...

 

1. Giant Space Battle - Each trilogy has one.
2. Lightsaber duel - Each Saga movie has at least one.
3. Someone loosing a limb - Same as above.
