Freaky.....Maybe its the Rings proper video tape which was used in the film.....or maybe just a confused postman. Anyway, I think you should watch it. Seems strange enough to watch. ;)

Just so I know, how do you do that thing where you quote what people have said? I can't seem to get it into Italics!

"...and the presence of a little girl wearing a yellow rain coat!"

Maybe she was just lost and forgot her way home? I mean in all horror movies its always raining and thunder and lightning outside, so she could've got stuck in one of them and looked for shelter?
    :D

this videotape came in the post, it's got all japanese writing on it. Wanna watch?

    OK!

Hey, maybe afterwards we could go to the local woods and run around in circles with a video camera!

On a side note, just before THE RING(the remake) came out in America some cinemas left copies of the cursed video in the foyer and on seats to promote the film!

I reckon that's really cool, it would freak people out if they didn't know what it was, but it would be cool to own a copy and show it to friends if they came round!

I'm terrified of films with sinister robots in them all thanks to watching Robocop when I was younger but there aren't really any films that scare me that much.

There's parts in films that have me on the edge of my seat like Misery and the first time I saw Silence of the Lambs where Clarice is running about in the dark towards the end but that's about all I can think of really!

OH, and I wasn't overly chuffed with the huge spider in The Return of the King either... or spiders in general in films *shudders* but that's 'things' moreover than actual films that scare me.

There was an episode of Dr Who I saw when I was very young... some evil dude planted seed type things on the moon that sprouted into mummy-type creatures. Didn't scare me at the time, but gave me a character-building nightmare :D

Talking of Dr Who, when I was younger, the thing that scared me most was actually Tom Baker....more so than the Cybermen, and they were way scary as hell! :_|

    Tom Baker was

And cybermen... I feared them not - the handles on the sides of their heads? Perfect leverage for a headbutt :D

I thought The Ring was boring. Only the tape itself was interesting- and the blurred faces. Other than that....meh (IMO). Also, the girl who played....uh the girl won the award for Best Villian at the MTV Movie Awards 2003. WTH?? She acted pretty plastic and slutty when recieving it.

Right now I can't remember MY top three of the scariest movies but as soon as I will I`ll post them here.

The originals are always best.....mostly. :p

I have to say, that the 2 scariest films I've seen in recent years has to be the 2 Charlies Angels movies. Most disturbing. [face_worried]

They're showing Nightmare on Elm Street tonight on the swedish tv. It's not scary, but I'll think I'll watch it. After all, it's rather funny, and it's got Johnny Depp. [face_love]

The original version of the Ring was pretty disturbing

The sequels to it as well were pretty funky!

And speaking of Japanese horror, there's this film coming out tomorrow, Ju-On:The Grudge, and I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it!
