With the release of "The Force Awakens" comes an equally great soundtrack, and since most of you here would have already listened to the music not just while watching the movie but even via YouTube or iTunes, which is/are your favorite?

Let the Falcon kick things off with some personal favorites (in no particular order):
    - Main Title and The Attack on the Jakku Village
    - Rey's Theme
    - The Scavenger
    - Kylo Ren Arrives at The Battle
    - March of the Resistance
    - Jedi Steps and The Finale

The longing flute solo from the second half of The Scavenger might be one of the most beautiful things Williams has ever wrote.

IMO, the absolute best in TFA.

It's evocative of themes used previously in the films to represent the Republic and the Alliance.

The way it's first used in TFA is just sublime. It heralds the return of safety to the captured heroes, the return of Poe Dameron after being presumed dead, and the return of the ideal of the Galactic Republic in full force.

Rey's Theme. It's haunting in a way, I don't think that's the right way to describe the piece... but it has stuck with me.

March of the Resistance is my ringtone now, so I'll go with that. Rey's Theme and Jedi Steps are pretty close too. This version of the main title has really been growing on me too.

Not a new motif by any means, but one of my favorite parts of the soundtrack is ~2:30 into "Follow Me." Makes me smile every time. If you've seen the film... well, you'll know.

Rey's theme, the song that plays when they fly away in the Falcon from the TIE Fighters, Jedi Steps and Finale, and the music that plays when Rey takes the saber from Kylo

If I were to pick just one, I'd go with "Rey's Theme". My other favorites include "Main Title and the Attack on the Jakku Village", "Finn's Confession", "The Starkiller", "March of the Resistance", "Snoke" and "The Jedi Steps and Finale", or, in other words, pretty much the entire soundtrack. :)

Just got the soundtrack a couple days ago, and now I'll jump on the bandwagon with everyone who has picked Rey's theme.

Rey's theme has become one of my favorite pieces of the entire saga. I find myself humming it at work every now and then. The Jedi Steps is also beautifully done, and I hope that motif becomes Luke's in the next two films. The only thing I was a little shocked about for this movie was the lack of an official First Order march, akin to the Imperial march, but they could pull an Empire and make one for Ep. 8. Kylo's motif will have to do until then :kylo:

    Burning homestead (Does this count?)
    Rey's theme (That flute @};-)
Jedi step's and the finale. (Goosebumps everytime)
Everything on the soundtrack is amazing, because JW [face_laugh]

    -Rey's Theme
    - Han and Leia
    - Torn Apart
    - Farewell and the trip
    - The Jedi's Steps

I have to admit that in the first time I saw the movie, the sountrack did not impress me. But by the second time, I was in love with it.

Yeah the main title was a little different this time. Not going to lie, I was a little put off at first because I always initially hate change, but I now think it sounds just as good as the other ones. And I'm also glad I am not the only one who recognized the Burning Homestead cue when Rey ignited the saber. Kind of strange that they just reused the same track instead of doing a quick redo of the Force theme for that one moment... oh well.

Actually, at the beginning of Ways of the Force, Williams did do another rendition of the Force theme for that moment. It was just replaced with the ANH cue at some point along the way. Still loved the moment in the film, though.

For me, my favorite track is Jedi Steps and Finale. I absolutely love that new theme leading into the Force theme... and then you get a nice little buffet of all the other great themes from the movie in the end credits suite! So I feel like I'm cheating, but I can live with that.

the main title is different than the other ones ever so slightly. Just like the PT's main title is a tad different from the OT's. And yes you're right, that Jedi Steps music sends chills to me! I loved it

Ok, I just listened to the track again, you're right it's just in the movie that it reuses it. Hmmm... not knocking it, still gave me goosebumps.

I love Rey's theme, the Han and Leia theme and Jedi's steps. I also loved the music for Kylo Ren it was very foreboding.
