I decided to include his two Star Wars films, as Ewan has made quite a few rather obscure films, which I don't think too many people have seen, but what's everybody's favourite and why? Also, what film do you think he acts the best in? Anyhow, I can't decide between Shallow Grave and Moulin Rouge. I think Ewan acts brilliantly in all those films listed, but I just can't decide between those two films. Also, I think they show his range, as in Shallow Grave he's an irritating, cocky journalist, where as Moulin Rouge he's a sensitive, rather nerdy and nervous writer, but I can't decide which one I prefer. Anyhow, please do vote :D!

Finally(!), I've been waiting for someone to make this poll, although...

HOW CAN YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE?! :_|

If it's fave ewan performance, it would probably be Moulin Rouge, fave character: Obi, but fave movie.... it's either TPM or Moulin Rouge......... arh, TPM made me love SW, so it gets my vote. But it was so hard to choose.... grumble grumble grumble....

    ;) :D :D

Well, you could always just vote Other! It is very hard to chose from, as Ewan has done so many fantastic films, there isn't really any film that stands out as being great, as they're all great, or at least, his performance is, at any rate. Anyway, you must choose :p!

    Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge sucked.

I don't really think he's a good actor, but he delivers the goods in AOTC; a vast improvement on his efforts in TPM.

For those of you who haven't seen it, I highly recommend Shallow Grave, as it's such a fantastic film. It's directed by Danny Boyle, who went on to do Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary with Ewan McGregor, and I also think that it might have been one of Ewan's first lead roles. It's a very good film, with an extremely clever twist at the end, so if you see it on the shops, get it :D!

Crap, that's a toughie. He was terrific in AotC, I think he's a great choice for Obi-Wan, but I have to say that his most powerful performace, that I've seen, anyway, was in Moulin Rouge. Beautiful film. I was bawling by the time it was over. It's pretty close for me, though. He's an all-around great actor-and a real cutie, too. ;)

Hard to say, considering I haven't seen all of them but it probably would have to be a film called Nightwatch, which he played a law student who takes up a job as a nightwatchman in a morgue.

As much as I loved AoTC and thought it was abolutely amazing, Moulin Rouge was much better for Ewan and his acting talents.

Tossup between Trainspotting and AOTC. He was brilliant in both, but since this is a SW board, I went with AOTC. ;)

Brassed off, pretty damn good I'd say.
And if A life less ordinary is what i think it is then aye tis pretty good too, but It may not be the film I am thinking of as I don't know if he was in the film I was thinking of.

I adored him in TPM but he had a more rounded-out, and larger role in AOTC. TPMstill got my vote though . . . he's so hot in that movie!

I'm throughly disappointed at the "I don't like Ewan" type posts.
    Hmph!
