You know I'm surpised they haven't plugged in more of their T.V directors to just take on some of the movie stuff. Like give a pre-written script and give a trusted TV director they are using already to make a film.

Maybe after they direct some more on the shows. I for one would be thrilled to see a Famuyiwa or Chow-directed Star Wars film.

Yeah I saw that... However, I think this one is more a change of strategy than 'artistic disagreements' etc.

 

Yeah not really a big deal and is something we largely assumed anyways. Considering we have three other shows taking place in the same timeline it doesn't really matter as (like screenrant said) they easily could just incorporate any ideas they had for Rangers into the other shows.

And honestly if Carano was indeed going to be the main character I'm glad it got cancelled because I don't think she would have been a good lead anyways. She's decent in a role where she just shows up sparingly but not when she is going to have the majority of the screentime in the series.

 

Mandalorian and Book of boba will likley have elements of the show in thier seasons and will have to figure out how only two shows with mutible seasons and one event series leads to big crossover event.

 

It's likely that I'll pour one out to the memory of ACOD tonight.

Agree. Specially when what Favreau has been doing with Mando seems to play along the ST lines perfectly. The cloning stuff, the Snoke-ish creature in the tank during season 2... Not sure how anyone cannot interpret this as LFL trying to make the ST more intesting by showing the OT characters actually did some interesting stuff between trilogies.

But hey, who knows, maybe we are all wrong and Filoni is secretly speaking with GL about how to make Luke survive the ST, make Rey his daughter and reunite the OT3 in a big event.
