Saga Which is the best Star Wars prequel movie of the FIVE?

In terms of overall quality, probably ROTS is the best one, with its epic feel and the way it brings the saga full circle. In terms of actual enjoyment, I'll go with "Solo". It's the closest in spirit to the original movie, and is just the most fun, in my opinion.

One of the best films, to make you feel sooooo much for unknown charecters. It was a great film

Personal favourite: TPM (it sucks, but I like it)
Revenge of the Sith is good at some points, but lines like "From my point of view the jedi are wrong" and the bad CGI sucks

for me it's a tie between RO and ROTS.

 

I think TPM Episode I lacked the conclusion, the duel was great and I would personally say it was incredible. Which is why I choose Episode I, and also because of Qui-Gon's character.

The movie needed a better conclusion. For example, the loss of Maul was a big thing for Sidious, he also mentioned that years later in the new canon. He still sees Maul as a loss.

Lucas also mentioned that before in an interview, however, he didn't try to show it clearly in the movie that it was a loss for Sidious, he maybe thought it was obvious, but some viewers didn't see in that way, they thought Maul as some kind of a Sith bodyguard who only fights for Sidious. They didn't realize that he was very important for Sidious, and he wasn't a ''proton torpedo'' like Dooku was. This is my critic towards the Phantom Menace, if Lucas made that clear in the end, perhaps the movie would be even better, though I still personally choose Episode I as the best prequel.

Then Episode III and Rogue One.

 

I probably watch TPM more than any other prequel. I love ROTS, but usually skip to the duel at the end.

Revenge Of The Sith. It's got some cringe-worthy dialogue here and there but taken as a whole, that movie is spectacular. It's visually stunning but beyond that, the film is basically an opera without the singing. It's grandiose and leans into the idea of these stories being legends more than any other film.

Obi-Wan and Anakin duelling on volcanoes is the kind of thing you'd hear about in myths and legends, an idea as absurd as it is undeniably cool and in ROTS we see it play out. Palpatine literally destroying the heart of democracy in his duel with Yoda, the Jedi being wiped out by the soldiers they'd bonded with and fought beside, the whole movie is like a combination of Shakespearian drama and Homeric epics rolled into one and set in outer space.

I thought Solo was a bit bland and I really liked Rogue One but ROTS is the purest idea of a space opera fantasy film, probably the closest Lucas has come to realising his vision of Star Wars and by the Force, it's beautiful.

 

Revenge of the Sith, although the treatment of Padme is it's biggest flaw.

 

The ROTS duel was a thing of beauty and so emotional for me as I've known these characters since the 70's.

 

Best is subjective. My favorites.....In this order:

1) Rouge One - by an absolute MILE. It actually pushes SW for being my second favorite of the lot after TESB.
2) Solo - close, I actually voted for this one but over time its dropped back down below RO.
3) ROTS - best of three poor films
2) AOTC - second best of three poor films
1) TPM - worst of the lot.

 

My favorite prequel by far is Rogue One. I think it has more Star Wars goodness than TPM, AOTC, ROTS, and Solo combined.
