Which of the following AOTC lines is the most classic/memorable?

It's a tie between "Agressive Negotiations" and "This party's over."

 

"That's why I'm here"

 

"Around the survivors a perimeter create!"

Does anyone else think Lucas is going a bit overboard with the Yoda backwards-speech? In ESB, he begins his sentences with the normal " subject-verb" etc. often! Well, at least once or twice. With the 'perimeter' quote I didn't even get what he was saying until a full five seconds later, after which I burst out laughing! Well, quietly laughing. A paraphrase:

"What happened back at the landing platform: terrrrible. Seeing you again.. brings warm feelings, to my heart." That line made me cringe..

 

Obi-Wan's line ""Why do I get the feeling that one day you'll be the death of me?" is too foreshadowing and classic to a fan of the OT. However, honorable mention goes to the Dug in the speeder chase, who says "Jedi Poodoo".

 

"Oh, not good."

Classic understatement just like "I've got a bad feeling about this." Should have been the PT equivalent.

Plus, Ewan says it all cute.

 

The "Death Sticks" line.
Although I also enjoyed the "Good Job" one

 

I loved this line. I still crack up when I hear it!

 

I like the lines right at the death of the movie, when Yoda gets all serious, and corrects Obi-wan.
Victory. Victory you say. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun this clone war has.
Or words to that effect, I've a terrible memory and can never quite remember lines word for word.

 

I voted for "Why do I get the feeling that one day you'll be the death of me?", but for me it's really a three-way tie between The 'Death Sticks' exchange, "Why do I get the feeling that one day you'll be the death of me?" and "Lost a planet, Master Obi-Wan has. How embarassing."

I really felt that the 'Death Sticks' exchange sent its message through very well and clearly, while showing the power of the force. The one I voted for, simply because of the sheer foreboding that it would play and the irony of it all. And "Lost a planet..." has a touch of foreboding too, in the way that Alderaan would be blown up later in ANH.

^^ Is the one I voted for. I was watching AOTC with my brother, and I couldn't help but say, "OOOOH. That really happens."

It freaked me out.

are the best lines in the movie, at least I think.

 

"You wanna buy some death sticks?" Man, that was funny!

The most memorable part is Yoda's fight scene.

 

For me, it isn't even the whole diatribe. It's one line that defines that film.

I hate them.

 

my favroite line from AOTC. well at least the one at this moment is when padme says:

"oh, anakin is not a jedi yet, he is a just a padawan learner"

what a slap in the face.

 

aw, I loved the animals speech and "He's holding me back" though the animals speech kinda freaked me out. Anakin is very unstable. I also like Yoda embarassing Obiwan

But I also like "Someday I'll be the most powerful Jedi ever."

 

no line from AOTC is all that memorbable, but i, evr the romantic, like "I've been dying a little bit every day since you came back into my life." the only thing AOTC was missing was an "I love you..i know" thing...that would have been gr8!

 

I like the,"I love democracy.....I love the Republic" line.

 

I also really liked the 'Animals' speech and the 'Death Sticks' exchange. Those are both great!

 

The Yoda quote was classic. How embarrasing!

I like "Excuse me, I'm in charge of security here m'lady". It gives a meaning to the whole story: Anakin has fallen to the Dark Side in order to be stronger, to be protected from bad things!

He prepared himself against an outside aggression, but forgot about the aggression from inside that transformed him into a monster!
