Which of the following AOTC lines is the most classic/memorable?

The best line is "Why do I get the feeling that one day you'll be the death of me?"

The most humorous is

"and then we came to rescue you"

"good job!"

 

Had to be "other" - I love the Yoda put-down but Obi had a few good ones in there as well so it's a tie.

 

Yoda's lost a planet line to Obi-Wan helps shed a little more light on the character, making him more well rounded. Plus, its funny.

 

"Why do I get the feeling that one day you'll be the death of me?"

 

In my opinion, the best is "I hate it when he does that".

 

"Lost a planet, Master Obi-Wan has. How embarrassing."

"I hate them!" The menace in Anakin's voice is a great forewarning of what is to come.

Could someone please post the whole "I hate sand" quote? Not exactly memorable, but it's so cheesy...

I like Yoda's "Lost a planet..." line. I like this one most of all because this is one of the few times in the prequel trilogy that Yoda's light-hearted attitude is shown.

 

To the Poster who wanted to see the whole "I hate sand" line: Here it is for you.

"I hate sand. It's rough, and coarse, and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Everything is soft...and smooth...."

Extreme cheesiness. Sort of sticks in the mind like Gwen Steffani's song, "Hollaback Girl." I have no problem with the song, but if I have to have a song stick in my head for a while, I think I would prefer something like Sting's "Fields of Gold," the Rolling Stone's "Love is Strong" or Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car"

Would have to agree that Yoda's "lost planet" line gets my vote for best line in AOTC. Yoda doesn't get much opportunity to show a lighter side, although he really puts Luke on for quite a while in TESB. Obi-Wan's line about Anakin being the eventual death of him is only funny because we know it's true. Given how devastated I was when he finally buys it at the hands of Vader in SW-ANH, I had a hard time finding the line really amusing.

I voted, "Lost a planet, Master Obi-Wan has. How embarassing."

 

I chose Death Sticks, but I also love "Blast! This is why I hate flying!" and "Lost a planet, Master Obi-Wan has." My three favorite lines from the film.

 

"This is why I hate flying!"

 

I chose the "Death of Me" line. It's one of the few meaningful lines in the movie. That, and "They'll do their job well."

Most all of them actually, but my fav is Anakin's love confession at the fireplace.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like mush, and even though I'm a girl, I am very critical of romantic scenes.
BUT for some reason I love his confession, it is very bold and passionate for a young guy who is not experienced.

Of the choices, I voted for the 'death of me'. It's kind of funny, no? I still laugh everytime Obi-Wan, shackled and surrounded, looks up and says, "Good job."

 

For me it was the Animals speech, because at that moment I felt Anakin was turning into Vader before our very eyes, the way Christensen delivered those lines was chilling!
